The group recorded and released a second record, independent of the RPM Challenge, in 2014. It is currently working on new material.

A collective of five musicians (fünf means five in German) who collaborated on music by sending each other tracks over the internet in a style reminiscent of the painting technique known as Exquisite Corpse. Each member would start a track and send it off on a path where each member of the group would add (or subtract) sounds, parts and edits to the track. Once each member’s contribution to a track was completed they would send it off to the next member and not hear what the results were until all tracks were completed. The first version of fünf existed from 2006 - 2009 and made 5 EPs of adventurous and interesting electronic music. A new version of the group is being planned for 2020.
